Choose what to forward
Calls you miss covers three cases: you don’t answer, you’re on another call, or your phone is off or has no signal. Some carriers handle all three with one code, and others use one code for each case.
Before you start
- Find your LobbyStack number in Settings > Phone number.
- The codes on this page use the example number (555) 123-4567. Replace
5551234567with the 10 digits of your LobbyStack number. - Some carriers want a 1 in front of the number, so their codes show
15551234567. Keep the 1 and replace the 10 digits after it.
Turn forwarding on with a code
1
Dial the code
On the phone your customers call, dial your carrier’s code from the Turn on column. Some codes end without a number, such as
*72. For those, the line asks for the number after you press Call: enter it in the format the table shows.2
Press Call
A tone or a message confirms that forwarding is on.
3
Dial the extra codes
For calls you miss, some carriers split the cases into separate codes. Dial the Busy code to also forward calls that come in while you’re on the phone. Dial the Unreachable code to also forward calls when your phone is off or has no signal.
Turn forwarding on in settings
Some carriers and most business phone systems use a settings screen instead of a code.1
Open the settings
Open the menu path from the Turn on column. Depending on the carrier, it’s on your phone, in the carrier’s app, or on its website.
2
Set the forwarding number
Forward unanswered calls, or all calls, to your LobbyStack number, then save.

If your phone system lets you pick a ring time, 15 to 20 seconds gives you about four rings before your receptionist answers.
